This role provides software development, systems design, technical implementation, testing, data pipeline support, database support, API support, quality assurance, and technical leadership. The Principal Software Developer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and providing helpdesk support for Aviation Logistics Department (ALD) software, developing supply warehouse automation software, and designing and maintaining ALD web pages and applications using government-owned or licensed SaaS and PaaS. This role also participates in the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process for all developed software.\r\nKey ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, and provide helpdesk support for ALD software.\r\nDevelop and maintain supply warehouse automation software, and design and maintain ALD web pages and applications.\r\nCreate and maintain comprehensive help files for all developed software and apply knowledge of multiple coding languages.\r\nProduce static code reviews and participate in the RMF process for all developed software.\r\nAnalyze and identify root causes of technical issues, triage them, and provide timely workarounds and solutions.\r\nProvide training to ALD staff on office productivity software and daily end-user support for all developed applications.\r\nEnforce secure system foundations in support of the RMF, by translating compliance frameworks into technical requirements.\r\nEvaluate emerging technologies and how they apply to DoD operational security (OPSEC) policy.\r\nRequirementsRequired Qualifications\r\nU.S. citizenship and ability to maintain a Secret security clearance.\r\nExperience to meet one of these qualifications is desired:\r\nA minimum of 14 years’ general experience with an associate’s degree.\r\nA minimum of 12 years’ general experience with a bachelor’s degree.\r\nA minimum of 10 years’ general experience with a master’s degree.
