This role is heavily focused on PLC programming, robotics integration, HMI/SCADA development, and system debugging in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nThe ideal candidate is hands-on, technically strong in Allen-Bradley PLCs, robotics, and vision systems, and thrives in both new equipment development and production support.\nKey Responsibilities\nNew Equipment – In-House Development\nDesign, program, debug, and commission automated manufacturing systems.\nDevelop PLC programs using Allen-Bradley CompactLogix (Ladder Logic).\nCreate and maintain intuitive HMI interfaces using Ignition on panel PCs.\nDevelop P&IDs and electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical (EPLAN experience a plus).\nIntegrate and program:\nIndustrial robots (Epson, UR Cobots)\nServo and stepper systems (SMC, Exlar)\nVision systems (Cognex In-Sight, Keyence)\nAsyril smart feeders\nConveyors, sensors, and pneumatic systems\nSupport machine build, debug, testing, and validation activities.\nManage electrical and controls changes during equipment builds.\nNew Equipment – External Vendors\nPartner with automation vendors during design and build phases.\nReview electrical and controls designs for compliance with company standards.\nDevelop and execute acceptance testing procedures.\nVerify PLC, HMI, alarm systems, and safety performance.\nMaintain preferred component standards and best practices.\nExisting Equipment & Continuous Improvement\nModify PLC/HMI programs and hardware to improve reliability and throughput.\nTroubleshoot production equipment and minimize downtime.\nSupport new process integration and product launches.\nServe as technical expert on installed automation systems.\nParticipate in validation and quality studies (Gage R&R, Process Capability).\nTechnical Environment\nPLCs: Allen-Bradley CompactLogix\nHMI/SCADA: Ignition (Panel PC-based HMIs)\nRobotics: Epson, UR Cobots\nVision: Cognex In-Sight, Keyence\nMotion: SMC, Exlar (Servo/Stepper)\nDatabases: Microsoft SQL Server (recipes and production data)\nCAD: AutoCAD Electrical (EPLAN exposure preferred)\nFeeders: Asyril Smart Feeders\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.\n5+ years of experience in industrial automation and controls engineering.\nStrong PLC programming experience with Allen-Bradley CompactLogix (from blank projects).\nSolid understanding of industrial I/O systems (Digital, Analog, Ethernet/IP, Fieldbus, Serial).\nExperience implementing machine safety systems (E-Stops, safety relays, scanners, interlocks).\nHands-on experience with robotics programming and integration.\nHMI and SCADA development experience (Ignition preferred).\nExperience with SQL databases and machine data integration.\nProficiency in AutoCAD Electrical for control panel and field wiring schematics.\nExperience with industrial vision systems (Cognex/Keyence).\nStrong debugging, testing, and commissioning skills.\nExperience with automated part feeding systems.\nPreferred Skills\nExperience with EPLAN\nAdvanced SCADA system integration\nManufacturing data collection and reporting\nHigh-volume automated assembly systems\nMedical, aerospace, or precision manufacturing environments\nWhy Join Us\nWork on cutting-edge automation systems\nHigh-impact role supporting advanced manufacturing\nStrong focus on innovation and continuous improvement\nStable, growth-oriented organization\nOpportunity to own projects from concept to production\nJob Type: Full-time\nPay: $119,428.00 -
