You will interact with stakeholders and utilize influential skills to drive improvements in DevOps processes and practices.\nPrimary responsibilities include:\nExhibits influential skills to collaborate across teams to consolidate and simplify DevOps tools and services\nExhibits the ability to solve problems in ways that drive towards simplicity of architecture and operations\nCapable of completing cloud infrastructure and automated deployment tasks at the direction of a senior engineer\nBuilds libraries, modules, and packages for other infrastructure engineers to integrate with their projects\nBuilds cloud infrastructure that supports applications and Improves the broader developer experience for engineers\nSupports CI/CD processes to help deliver software of higher quality at greater speed\nIntegrates tools to satisfy non-functional requirements such as quality thresholds, security vulnerabilities, and static analysis\nBuilds specific application test and deployment pipelines using automated tooling such as Jenkins, Github Actions, Circle CI, Gitlab CI\nProgressive experience working with our government partners and app teams to ensure that we are shipping software that meets security, SLA, and performance requirements\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor's degree and 5+ years of professional software engineering experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)\nHands-on production experience with AWS as a primary cloud provider\nWorking proficiency with Kubernetes (EKS or equivalent) — deploying, troubleshooting, and managing containerized workloads\nProficient with Terraform (or comparable IaC tool) for provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure\nExperience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar\nComfortable working in a Linux environment (shell scripting, systemd, networking basics, package management)\nBackground in key DevOps concepts: containerization, virtualization, networking, load balancing/reverse proxies\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nTeam player who can work with other engineers to resolve issues\nAbility to clearly explain technical decisions and tradeoffs regarding complex infrastructure to teammates and stakeholders\nContributes meaningfully to planning discussions\nReliably performs DevOps support rotation (business hours) and on-call responsibility (beyond business hours)\nU.S. citizenship or current legal authorization to work and reside in the United States without employer sponsorship is required.
