Summary We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager – Government & Education (SLED) to drive growth within public sector accounts. This role is responsible for managing the full sales lifecycle—from opportunity identification and RFP/RFQ responses through contract award and end user relationship and account management. The ideal candidate has an understanding of government procurement, education sales cycles, cooperative contracts, and compliance requirements (including E-Rate). Key Responsibilities Develop and manage sales opportunities within K-12, higher education, and government agencies Identify, qualify, and respond to RFPs, RFQs, IFBs, and cooperative contract opportunities Maintain strong relationships with procurement officers, IT directors, and decision-makers Coordinate with Vice President to develop compliant, competitive solutions and pricing Manage vendor relationships with OEMs and distributors (HP, Dell, Lenovo, Cisco, Fortinet, Aruba, etc.) Understand and apply E-Rate eligibility rules, funding categories, and documentation requirements Stay current on public sector technology trends and contract vehicles Required Qualifications 1+ years of government and/or education sales experience Demonstrated success selling IT hardware, networking, or infrastructure solutions Knowledgeable on public sector procurement processes Experience responding to RFPs/RFQs and compliance documentation Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple opportunities and deadlines simultaneously Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Preferred Qualifications Experience with E-Rate Familiarity with cooperative contracts (e.g., NASPO, Sourcewell, OMNIA, state contracts) Existing relationships within school districts, colleges, or government agencies Vendor certifications or prior Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)/distributor experience Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment What We Offer Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission Opportunity to work with leading technology manufacturers Supportive, knowledgeable technical and operations team Long-term growth potential within a stable, expanding company Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $31,000.00 per year Work Location: In person
