Facilities Chief Engineer
Beatty Management Group (BMG) is seeking a Facilities Chief Engineer to join our rapidly growing team at Harbor Point, playing a key role in the operation of a 550,000 SF Class A waterfront headquarters. We are seeking a talented professional that embraces our hands-on property management philosophies: proactive, detail-oriented, tenant-focused, and committed to continuous improvement.ResponsibilitiesPlan, direct, and oversee all tenant preventive and reactive maintenance activities across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, and specialty systems.Supervise, train, and mentor tenant building engineers to ensure consistent coverage, technical competency, and service quality.Ensure preventive maintenance tasks are completed in accordance with manufacturer recommendations, regulatory requirements, and internal standards.Coordinate tenant engineering activities with base building operations to maintain system integration and avoid conflicts.Respond to and manage critical tenant engineering issues, including after-hours and emergency situations.Utilize CMMS and inspection data to identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for operational improvement.Measures of AccountabilityCompletion and quality of preventive maintenance activities.System reliability and reduction of repeat failures.Tenant satisfaction related to engineering responsiveness and workmanship.QualificationsSeven (7) or more years of building engineering or facilities experience.Demonstrated supervisory experience in a commercial facilities environment.Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems.EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Technical certifications and licenses preferred.Working ConditionsThis position requires regular field work, including access to mechanical rooms and tenant spaces, and availability to respond to emergencies outside of standard business hours.Position SpecificsThis job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities required of the employee.
