Our Associates practice professionalism in attitude and appearance skilled in the art of communication and customer service.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nGreets all customers\nExecutes all required firearms paperwork within legal parameters\nCreate customer orders\nProvides excellent customer service and displays exceptional salesmanship\nDemonstrates constant awareness of firearm safety\nResponsible for assisting in store merchandising changes\nResponsible for loading and unloading trucks\nReceives stock and merchandise\nActively involved in promotions, sales and events\nMay fill customer fishing reels using special machines and knot-tying techniques\nMay participate in inventory tasks\nAble to attend training seminars, including some off-site\nPerform other duties as assigned\nQUALIFICATIONS\nHigh school graduate (or GED) required, college graduate or some college preferred\nFluent in English\nPrior retail or sales experience and cash handling preferred\nPrevious customer service experience preferred\nKnowledge about Hunting, Fishing, or Shooting sports is preferred\nLegally eligible to work in a firearms environment\nMust be 18 years or older\nCertificate of Eligibility Required\nGood communication and interpersonal skills\nMust be able to multi-task and work in a face paced environment\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nResponsible for loading/unloading trucks, lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance\nMust be able to use both hands when handling a firearm\nMust be able to use a computer proficiently and grasp instruction to new software programs\nMust be able to stand, sit, bend and lift throughout the course of a scheduled shift\nTRAVEL REQUIREMENTS\nOccasional travel may be required (approximately 5% of the time-participating in events, training seminars etc)\nHOURS\nHours-varied-OT may be required\nRequests for time off may or may not be granted during black-out periods\nTurner's Outdoorsman is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
