This is how we keep our customers coming back to us, and why our customers are nearly always repeat customers.\nDescription\nJob Title: Transfer Switch Technician (ASCO Experience Preferred)\nLocation: New York\nJob Type: Full Time\nSalary: Competitive, Based on Experience\nBenefits: Health, Vision, Dental, and 401k\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nPerform routine maintenance testing and commissioning of transfer switches and related power distribution equipment.\nPerform preventive maintenance, functional testing, and troubleshooting of automatic transfer switches and controls.\nDiagnose electrical and mechanical issues, replacing or repairing faulty components as needed.\nWork with generator systems, switchgear, and power monitoring systems to ensure seamless power transfer.\nPerform routine maintenance and commissioning of electrical equipment such as circuit breakers, switchgear, power transformers, instrument transformers, relays, etc.\nCalibrate and adjust control systems to meet operational and safety standards.\nProvide technical support during outages, load bank tests, and emergency situations.\nDocument service activities, test results, and equipment performance.\nEnsure compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and manufacturer guidelines.\nCollaborate with engineers, contractors, and facility managers to deliver high-quality service.\nOther duties as required.\n\nQualifications:\nHands-on experience with transfer switches (installation, programming, and troubleshooting).\nPrior experience and/or training on ASCO transfer switches is preferred.\nNETA certification is considered an asset.\nStrong understanding of electrical theory, controls, and power distribution systems.\nAbility to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.\nExperience with low and medium voltage electrical systems.\nValid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites.\nStrong commitment to safety practices.\n\nPreferred:\nPrior experience with generator paralleling and switchgear systems.\nKnowledge of other ATS manufacturers (ASCO, Eaton, Siemens, ABB, etc.).\nCertifications such as NETA, OSHA 30, or NFPA 70E training.\nMilitary, utility, or critical power background.\n\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in confined spaces or elevated areas.\nMust be able to perform physical labor including climbing ladders, standing for extended periods of time, drive regularly, fly occasionally.\nAbility to use hand tools and power tools.\nComfortable working in various environments, including industrial, healthcare, and outdoor facilities.\nAbility to work on-call or after-hours for emergency service needs.\n\nRequired Abilities:\nAble to pass a pre-employment drug screen.\nComplete a satisfactory criminal background check.\nMust have a valid driver's license and currently have and be able to maintain a good driving record.\nMust be able to work legally in the US.\n\nAt LND Technical Services LLC, we are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive work environment.
