About Ernie’s Auto Parts
Ernie’s Auto Parts is a rapidly growing automotive parts distributor specializing in recycled, new aftermarket, new surplus, and remanufactured parts.
Our recycling operations process vehicles deemed total losses through insurance claims, allowing us to responsibly reclaim high-quality late-model import and domestic car and truck parts. In addition, we supply new aftermarket, surplus, and remanufactured body and mechanical drivetrain components.
As we continue to grow, we are expanding our sales team and looking for driven, customer-focused professionals who thrive in a fast-paced automotive environment.
Position Overview
As a Counter Sales Representative, you will be responsible for delivering an outstanding in-person customer experience while supporting our inside sales team.
This is not a passive counter job. You will manage the customer experience from start to finish:
Identifying the correct part for the repair
Negotiating price when appropriate
Locating and pulling parts from the warehouse
Cleaning and inspecting parts for quality
Final delivery to the customer
You play a critical role in ensuring every customer receives the right part, in the right condition, with professional service that builds long-term relationships.

Key Responsibilities
Provide an exceptional in-person customer experience
Ensure customer order accuracy from quote to delivery
Accurately inspect and verify part quality and condition
Maintain timely and professional communication with customers
Resolve customer concerns positively and document outcomes accurately
Assist inside sales team in a fast-paced environment
Pull, clean, and prepare parts for customer pickup
Present yourself in a professional manner at all times
Qualifications & Requirements
Required:
Automotive experience (repair, replacement, parts, or sales)
Valid driver’s license
Reliable transportation
High School Diploma or GED
Strong customer service experience
Comfortable with computers and technology
High attention to detail
Positive, professional attitude
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
Team-oriented mindset
