As a Privacy Operations Specialist, you'll serve as the primary point of contact for the Marketing Strategy team, managing complex data use requests that require cross-functional collaboration. You'll drive a thorough review process in partnership with legal and engineering teams, while actively contributing to the future of privacy. We're looking for someone who is passionate about privacy, can navigate challenging problems both independently and collaboratively, and has a track record of building and implementing automated processes that drive scale and efficiency.Key Responsibilities Own and manage the end-to-end execution of the privacy review process, ensuring requests are accurately captured, triaged, and processed in a timely mannerMonitor incoming requests to confirm prioritization, completeness, and compliance with intake requirements, following up with submitters to resolve any gapsAlign incoming requests against business priorities and communicate status, timelines and transparently to stakeholdersPartner with cross-functional teams - including legal, engineering, product, and operations - to drive alignment and accountability throughout the review lifecyclePlay a critical support role in a high-visibility, emergency aversion process tied to domestic and international privacy-related incidents, including potential on-call or 24/7 monitoring responsibilitiesCoordinate with global leaders and cross-regional teams during active emergency scenarios, demonstrating composure and sound judgment under pressureContinuously evaluate workflows and identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and improve operational processes in collaboration with technical teamsSupport the development of privacy communications and branding initiatives, bringing a design sensibility to materials that are clear, compelling, and on-brandDraft and refine written communications including team updates, stakeholder documentation, training materials, and program announcementsWhat You'll BringA genuine passion for privacy and a curiosity for how it intersects with technology, marketing, and user experienceA self-starter mentality - you take initiative, work independently, and know when to bring others inThe ability to context-switch with ease, managing multiple projects and priorities without losing sight of the detailsA collaborative spirit and the ability to build trust quickly with diverse teams across functions, levels, and geographiesComposure and sound judgment in high-pressure or time-sensitive situations, including emergency scenariosAn innovative mindset that challenges the status quo and looks for smarter, more efficient ways of workingA design eye and communication instinct that helps translate complex privacy concepts into clear, compelling narrativesComfort with ambiguity and a willingness to grow, adapt, and learn quickly in a fast evolving environmentMinimum Qualifications5+ years of experience in program or project management, ideally in privacy, marketing, or data governanceStrong understanding of privacy principles, frameworks, and review processes Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder workflows in a fast-paced environmentExceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for audiences at all levels including senior leadershipExperience supporting incident response or emergency management processes, with comfort managing on-call responsibilitiesProven track record of driving process improvements and automation opportunitiesProficiency with workflow management tools and collaboration platformsStrong analytical thinking and problem-solving skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience developing branded content or internal education programsFamiliarity with privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, DMA or similar frameworksExperience in a global organization with cross-regional teams CIPP or other privacy certification About Aquent Talent: Aquent Talent connects the best talent in marketing, creative, and design with the world's biggest brands.Our eligible talent get access to amazing benefits like subsidized health, vision, and dental plans, paid sick leave, and retirement plans with a match.Aquent is an equal-opportunity employer.
