Provide constructive, actionable feedback to improve and prevent future issuesCreate and maintain detailed network diagrams, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and required compliance artifactsSupport special projects and day-to-day operations as needed or assigned by the site leadProvide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineersSupport on-call rotation scheduleBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree with a minimum of 8+ years of related experience, additional years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree7-10+ years of experience in network engineering, with a significant focus on secure, large-scale enterprise environmentsRequires a current 8140 IAT Level II (Intermediate or Advanced) certificate (Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) in Enterprise or SecurityProven experience working within a DoD or defense contractor environment is mandatoryDemonstrable, hands-on experience with deployment, fabric management, and automation workflows using Cisco DNACExpertise in architecture, policy creation, and troubleshooting for wired and wireless 1X using Cisco ISEProficiency in the configuration, management, and troubleshooting of HAIPE devicesAdvanced knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) and switching technologiesIn-depth knowledge of DISA STIGs for network devicesPreferred QualificationsUnderstanding of IPv6 to include configuration and common notation/nomenclatureExperience working in air-gapped and/or classified network environments (e.g., SIPRNet) is highly desirableKnowledge of Air Force, Pentagon, and/or AFNCRExperienced working at the Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews (JBA), and Joint Base BollingThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
