The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.\n\n*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*\n\nMay include, but are not limited to the following:\n\n* Maintain close communications with applicable associates, supervisors, process engineers to meet quality and delivery expectations in a timely manner.\n* Records appropriate and accurate data collections as required.\n* Notify appropriate associates, other paint techs, & supervision of any defect or downtime events in a timely manner, and follow EGI Rapid Response procedure and Paint Tech Hand Off procedure\n* Perform coating process function per procedures and OMIs defined in document control (PNT), Paint Setup sheet (per specific part program), and per direction from Process Engineers and FLL Supervision.\n* Properly dispose of hazardous waste per environmental guidelines\n* Perform coating measurements and quality checks per PNT procedures, Paint Setup sheet specifications, and per Control Plan (part specific)\n* Maintain coating process and set up in tolerance per Paint Setup Sheet (part specific)\n* Perform filter changes, purges, etc. per paint PM procedures and check sheets\n* Assist and monitor cell cleaning process as per procedure\n* Ensure timely coating equipment preventative maintenance\n* Ensure full compliance to shift change hand off procedure (PNT procedure)\n* Must be able to achieve and maintain Level I Paint Tech status as per procedures (PNT) and OJT Training Requirements for the paint systems & coating processes assigned, and remain responsive and capable towards learning more to provide improved team flexibility\n* Perform timely change over per procedures found in PNT\n* Attend all required meetings and training when scheduled\n* Maintain a safe and clean work area\n* Must be knowledgeable and follow procedures (PNT, etc.) relative to required personal protective equipment\n* Annually trained to perform specific functions of Hazardous Waste management including proper handling, storage, labeling, spill response, disposal, and as applicable, Hazardous Waste Manifest management\n* Must be a team player, support over/under coverage or OT when required, and support the success of all shifts\n* Able to communicate constructively to Paint Techs on adjoining shifts, both positive appreciation and requests for improved hand off specifics until resolved\n* Other duties as assigned\n\n*Decision Making Authority*\n\nAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. May have the ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.\n\n*Safety Requirements*\n\nMust observe and practice all safety regulations. This includes the wearing and proper usage of the necessary personal protective equipment required for any task.\n\n*LANGUAGE SKILLS*\n\nAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.\n\n*MATHEMATICAL SKILLS*\n\n* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, percentages, and calculation of averages.\n\n*Other Qualifications*\n\nMust be able to work overtime and to work overtime at short notice.
