You’ll collaborate with a team to build and maintain custom WordPress solutions. From unique plugin development to seamless front-end implementation, your work will have a direct impact on projects across industries.\n\nYou may also have an opportunity to learn new tools, explore emerging technologies, and contribute to internal innovation projects to push the boundaries of what is possible.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nBuild and maintain custom WordPress sites, themes, and plugins in PHP.\nTranslate Figma or Adobe XD designs into responsive, accessible websites.\n\nCollaborate with UX, design, and content teams to bring ideas to life.\n\nTroubleshoot and resolve layout bugs, plugin conflicts, and performance issues.\n\nImplement third-party APIs and integrations.\n\nApply current best practices for performance, security and accessibility standards\n\nRequired Qualifications:\n\n2+ years of professional experience developing custom WordPress sites and plugins (agency experience strongly preferred)\n\nStrong knowledge of PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL.\n\nFundamental understanding of PHP and Object-oriented programming.\n\nKnowledge of MySQL database structures and complex query building.\n\nFamiliarity with Git and modern development workflows.\n\nAbility to create custom WordPress plugins and themes.\n\nAbility to work collaboratively on a team.\n\nAbility to work independently with minimal direction.\n\nA strong eye for layout, typography, and responsive design.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nExperience with WordPress page builders such as Elementor or Oxygen.\nExperience with WooCommerce and/or custom integrations.\n\nAbility to use JavaScript to build interactive elements or handle AJAX requests.\n\nFamiliar with using API integrations such as REST or OAuth.\n\nKnowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG).\n\nExperience optimizing WordPress sites.\nUnderstanding of version control, such as GIT.\nUsing dependency management tools such as Composer or NPM.\n\n2- or 4-year degree in Web Development, Computer Science, Graphic Design, UX/UI, or related fields\n\nBenefits\n\nCompetitive salary and performance-based bonuses.\n\nComprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.\n\n401K Retirement savings plan with company match.\n\nLife Insurance\n\nShort and Long-term Disability Coverage\n\nOpportunities for professional development and career advancement.\n\nCheck us out at archetypesc.com!\n\nWe are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States.
