This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a Diesel Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our diesel-powered assets.\r\nTransdev is proud to offer:\r\n$35.50 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement PayScale)\r\nBenefits include:\r\nVacation: up to 5 days per year\r\nPaid Sick Leave: 8 hrs monthly full-time employees/ 5 hrs monthly part-time employees; medical, dental & vision after 30 calendar days of employment for full-time employees, life insurance, 401k retirement benefits, and company holidays.\r\nCompany paid ASE testing, training materials, and tool reimbursement\r\nKey Responsibilities:\r\nConduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine necessary repairs on diesel engines.\r\nPerform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.\r\nCollaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate repairs.\r\nComplete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.\r\nLead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for diesel engines.\r\nPerform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on diesel engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.\r\nProvide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge.\r\nOther duties as required.\r\nQualifications:\r\n1 year of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.\r\nASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided.\r\nMechanic's Tool Set\r\nSubject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.\r\nPhysical Requirements:\r\nMust be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.\r\nThe employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.\r\nWork environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.\r\nDrug-free workplace:\r\nTransdev maintains a drug-free workplace.
