Person will provide on-the-job training, job coaching, counseling and follow-along as well as emergency intervention, as needed. Serves as liaison between the employer, agency staff and significant others.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following.\nPromote the philosophy of community integration and employment for person with disabilities.\nDevelop new employer contacts within the community to offer and promote our employment services.\nDevelop and nurture long term relationships with community partners and employers.\nInitiate employer contacts on behalf of individuals seeking community based employment.\nDevelop employment opportunities to meet the mutual needs of individuals and employers.\nMaintain accurate documentation of job development and case management activities.\nAssist individuals in job seeking skills, i.e. career exploration, resume development, job markets, job seeking tools and interviewing skills.\nDevelop and provide community job shadow and informational interviews for individuals in career exploration.\nProvide case management services to include written PCP's, monthly reports, case notes and attendance at staffings.\nDevelop, implement and evaluate clients goals related to employment success.\nParticipation in Chamber of Commerce events and activities.\nFacilitate and maintain contact with funding sources, employers, agency staff, clients and significant others regarding clients' progress towards employment goals.\nKeep Director of Employment Services informed of case developments.\nFollow all safety policies and procedures.\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, ability, physical demands and work environment required.\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nEducation and/or Experience:\nAssociate Degree and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.\nPreferable skill background set (HR/Marketing/Sales/Staffing).\nMaster's degree is preferred but not required.\nLanguage Skills:\nAbility to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.\nReasoning Ability:\nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.\nComputer / Technology Skills:\nMicrosoft Outlook, Word and Excel; Internet Explorer\nWork Environment\nIt is largely dependent upon where clients are placed and where staff need to job coach; could be in an office setting or in a factory.\nTransportation:\nEssential duties typically require a valid WI driver's license, a good driving record, and access to an adequately insured vehicle.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform successfully the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nThis position’s work is categorized as:\nLight Work.
