Additionally, this Lead Associate role will be translating customer goals and requirements into actionable work items for the team, while serving as a technical resource and mentor to developers.\r\nResponsibilities:\r\nDesign, codes, and unit tests, and debugs enhancements and fixes to the health claims processing system while adhering to strict coding standards.Participates as a senior member of a persistent Agile development team supporting maintenance and operations.\r\nLeads and completes development of complex components within the mainframe environment.\r\nWorks with minimal direction, exercising independent judgement on technical approaches and solutions.\r\nLeads and participates in design activities, providing technical guidance on maintenance solutions.\r\nDemonstrates advanced use and application of development concepts, practices, and techniques.\r\nDesigns, prepares and executes unit tests; represents team to clients on technical matters.\r\nProvides solutions to a wide variety of complex technical problems.\r\nContributes to strategic technical direction of the development teams.\r\nApplies technical knowledge to deliver maintenance solutions across multiple technology areas with minimal direction.\r\nImplements end-user and enterprise solutions of high complexity with minimal direction.\r\nIntegrates deep technical expertise and business understanding to deliver stable, reliable solutions for clients.\r\nConsults with team members and other organizations, clients and vendors on complex technical issues.\r\nProvides time and resource estimates for assigned tasks and projects.\r\nDevelops solutions to complex business and technology problems in areas of proven expertise.\r\nMentors and provides technical guidance to junior and mid-level developers on the team.\r\nQualificationsEducation & Experience: BS/BA with 6+ years of relevant experience; or Masters with 4 years of relevant experience; or HS diploma with 10+ years experience.\r\n6+ years of mainframe development experience in production or maintenance environment.\r\nProficiency with mainframe technologies including COBOL, JCL, CICS, TSO and VSAM.\r\nKnowledge of health care claims processing, particularly Medicare Fee for Service.\r\nAbility to perform well in a highly rigorous structured development environment.\r\nDemonstrated experience as a senior software developer in a mainframe environment.\r\nDemonstrated ability to determine and decompose business and technical requirements.\r\nApplication lifecycle methodology experience, specifically Agile/SCRUM\r\nStrong communication skills and technical writing ability.\r\nAbility to develop application project solutions and estimating.\r\nExperience with Medicare Part A, Medicare Part B, DME or Medicare Common Working File (CWF) specific processing systems.\r\nExperience working with or in support of CMS programs and contracts.\r\nExperience with DevOps/DevSecOps tools and frameworks through plan, define, build, test, release and deploy process.\r\nFamiliarity with development and collaboration tools: GitHub, Jira, Confluence, Eclipse (IDz/RDz)\r\nSAFe experience and/or certification.\r\nMust be able to achieve and maintain a PublicTrust clearance.\r\nMust be a US Citizen.\r\nPreferred Qualifications:\r\nExperience with Assembler language in a mainframe environment.\r\nFamiliarity with development and collaboration tools: GitHub, Jira, Confluence, Eclipse (IDz/RDz).\r\nExposure to modern languages such as Java or Python.\r\nPeraton OverviewPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy.
