In addition to base pay, you'll enjoy:\n\nShort-Term Incentive Bonus\n\n3 weeks vacation to start\n\n401(k) matching\n\nEmployee Share Purchase Program matching\n\nExtended Health & Dental\n\nWhat You’ll Do\n\nControls leadership: Provide hands-on PLC, HMI, controls, and automation programming and troubleshooting support across the mill.\n\nSystem modernization: Assess, integrate, and upgrade legacy control systems, including Allen-Bradley PLC-5 platforms, to improve reliability and performance.\n\nTeam coordination: Lead, mentor, and help prioritize the day-to-day work of five electricians, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.\n\nProject support: Write logic and design, build, and implement control systems from the ground up for mill improvement and capital projects.\n\nCross-functional partnership: Work closely with maintenance, operations, and planning teams to resolve equipment issues, manage electrical work through EAM, and improve machine-centre performance.\n\nWhat You Offer\n\nTechnical expertise: Strong hands-on experience with PLCs and industrial controls, including the ability to troubleshoot, write logic, and build control systems from scratch.\n\nPlatform knowledge: Experience with Allen-Bradley systems is required; exposure to Siemens controls, Toshiba drives, and legacy PLC-5 systems is an asset.\n\nElectrical background: Comprehensive knowledge of industrial electrical systems, variable frequency drives, AC/DC motors, motor controls, and instrumentation.\n\nLeadership capability: Demonstrated technical lead or leadership experience.\n\nWork style: Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills, with availability for occasional weekend and project-related work in a primarily Monday-to-Friday schedule.\n\nWho We Are\nAt Interfor, our culture is built on integrity, respect, and collaboration.
