The candidate will be part of a team of Software Developers, ETL Developers, and Data Scientists to enhance existing production applications and build out new web services on a routinized production cadence to meet the evolving needs of users.This is an exciting opportunity for Software Developers wanting to broaden their credentials in the realm of artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML). This is also great for the Software Developers to develop hands-on experience with new technical tools/applications. Development will take place in an iterative fashion using Agile development methodology with input from all levels of stakeholders. The candidate must have the ability to communicate with project team members, user community, and leadership to assess changes and demonstrate iterative progress.ResponsibilitiesIntegrateAI/ML technology into a production web applicationParticipatewith iterative software development teams with adherence to all reporting requirementsDesign, develop,and unit testcode for a production system and demonstration capabilitiesDeveloprapid prototypes to drive out requirements and designProvidedemonstrations and detailed walk through of features to a variety of technical and non-technical audiencesMeetwith stakeholders, analyzerequirements, developuser stories, and translatethese into software development tasksDeveloptechnical documentation and briefing materials to support program status reviews, control gates, and other presentations as directedRequirementsTS/SCI FSP ClearanceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, or other relevant field and minimum of six years of experience (Master's degree equates to an additional 2 years of relevant work experience)Minimum 5-7 years building web applications and UI/UX frameworks using Angular, React or JavaScript with specific examples. Java Spring framework is a plus.Minimum 5-7 years' experience working with Linux Operating systemsMinimum 4-6 years of demonstrated ability to design, develop, test and implement new applications based on project requirementsMinimum 4-6 years of demonstrated experience with development and deployment of applications in the Commercial Cloud Services (C2S) environment or an Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud environmentMinimum 4-6 year of demonstrated experience with search & analytic tools. Examples to include ElasticSearch, Solr, OpenSearchMinimum 4-6 years of microservices up to and including docker, podman, and or containerization servicesStrong development experience is required. Minimum 4-6 years of Object Orientated software development experience is required. Python is preferred but would consider Java, CSharp, HTML, or SQL.The ability to work individually as well as the ability to work in project teamsProven ability in decomposing concepts to discrete development tasks and managing your work to a deadlineFundamental understanding of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processing with large structured and unstructured raw data sets. This can be demonstrated through education or OJT experience.Desired SkillsDemonstrated experience with text analytics and its applications/role/use in business intelligence/business analytics (i.e. search, entity extraction, sentiment analysis, document summarization, document categorization) whether through education or experienceFamiliarity around machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, Keras, Tensorflow whether through education or experienceFamiliarity experience with data visualization tools (i.e. Tableau, Pandas, D3.js, ggplot, etc) whether through education or experienceDemonstrated experience using Relational or Non-Relational data stores such as MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, or DynamoDB whether through education or experience.
