{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"c4cbdec89616c89af7c6acef","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/c4cbdec89616c89af7c6acef","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/c4cbdec89616c89af7c6acef","title":"Quality System Engineer","description":"Responsibilities\n\nServe as Lead Auditor & Trainer for the Quality Management System.\n\nOversee the maintenance of and adherence to industry, customer, and internal standards.\n\nOversee the Quality System auditing function to include audit schedule management, audit team management, conducting audits, auditor training, audit result reporting, organizing of cross-functional task teams, and managing of findings to closure.\n\nInterface with 3rd party registrar and support 3rd party certification audits to achieve and maintain IATF 16949 automotive certification.\n\nCollaborate with management to develop, improve and maintain Quality Systems reporting and maintenance.\n\nDevelop and implement measures to ensure achievement of overall company goals, activities, and initiatives, as needed.\n\nProblem-Solve and improve Quality Management Systems, including manufacturing software.\n\nSupport customer Quality System audits and assist in meeting customer Quality System certifications, as needed.\n\nSupport the document control function.\n\nTravel to support the facility, as needed.\n\nAny additional duties to be assigned, as needed.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n\nA bachelor’s degree in related field.\n\nMinimum of three (3) years’ experience.\n\nRequired Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities\n\nStrong background with Quality Management Systems, specifically IATF 16949.\n\nSolid understanding of continuous improvement methods, problem-solving techniques, audit principles, and change management processes.\n\nQuality Systems auditing experience (auditor certification strongly preferred).\n\nUnderstanding of industry core tools (APQP, PFMEA, Control Plan, PAPP, SPC, MSA)\n\nKnowledge of calipers, micrometers, CMM, Vision Systems, and other measuring equipment. (Preferably experience in automotive manufacturing environment)\n\nAbility to work with minimal supervision.\n\nExcellent communications and interpersonal skills, including demonstrated leadership ability and ability to work as part of a team.\n\nStrong oral and written communications skills, with the ability to communicate with personnel at all levels of the organization and with diverse international backgrounds.\n\nStrong project management skills; excellent organizational skills and flexibility for multi-task situations; good problem-solving skills.\n\nMust be proficient in MSWord, Excel, and PowerPoint.\n\nResponsible for the direction and indirect supervision of employees.\n\nPhysical Demands\nRequired to sit for long periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.\n\nUsual office working conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet.
