The company is building its proprietary power architecture from the ground up, and the engineers joining today will define the technology that powers multiple future products.Power is the product.The role sits at the centre of the company's engineering organisation, owning the complete lifecycle of power electronics subsystems from architecture through production. You will design high and low voltage power conversion systems, protection circuitry, power distribution networks, and inverter technologies that become core company IP.Key Responsibilities:Own the end-to-end design of DC/DC and DC/AC power conversion systemsDesign power distribution, protection logic, and high and low voltage architecturesDevelop next-generation GaN and SiC power electronics for high-efficiency, high-density applicationsProduce schematics and PCB layouts in Altium with a focus on thermal performance, power density, and EMI mitigationLead hardware bring-up, verification, validation, and environmental qualificationDesign for low electromagnetic signature with MIL-STD-461 considered from the earliest stages of developmentSupport field testing and customer trials to evaluate hardware in operational environmentsRequired Experience:Two to five years of power electronics hardware design experienceExperience designing low and high voltage power conversion systems from concept through productionStrong understanding of DC/DC and DC/AC converter topologies and control loop theoryEMI and EMC design experience. MIL-STD-461 knowledge is highly desirableStrong laboratory skills using oscilloscopes, power analysers, electronic loads, and thermal imaging equipmentBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Master's degree is advantageousDesirable Experience:GaN and SiC power electronicsBattery systems and safety standards including UN 38.3, UL 2580, and IEC 62133MIL-STD-810 environmental qualificationPulsed power, radar, or electronic warfare applicationsLTspice, SIMPLIS, MATLAB/Simulink, or COMSOLThe Why?This is one of those rare opportunities where your engineering decisions define the long-term product architecture, not a single subsystem.The business is transitioning from engineering integration to fully in-house product development, giving early hires genuine influence over the technology roadmap and engineering culture.You'll solve complex power electronics challenges, work alongside exceptional engineers, and see your hardware deployed in demanding real-world environments.The mission is ambitious.
