{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"c4b35e2fdbe08c2e8c170383","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/c4b35e2fdbe08c2e8c170383","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/c4b35e2fdbe08c2e8c170383","title":"Warehouse Associate","description":"Colony Hardware is currently seeking a Warehouse Associate.\nReporting to the Operations Manager, the Warehouse Associate has primary responsibility for keeping merchandise organized and ready to ship to customers and branch locations, as well as receiving incoming merchandise from various sources, performing inventory counts, and verifying contents against packing slips.\n\nMajor Responsibilities\nReceives and inspects incoming merchandise to ensure that delivery matches packing slip.\nExamines incoming stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisor or vendor.\nSorts, organizes, and labels merchandise with appropriate stock/inventory codes.\nPerforms scheduled cycle counts of products for inventory.\nLoads truck with packed orders in an organized and specified sequence.\nReads pick tickets, prioritizes most critical orders, and verifies item picked matches the pick tickets.\nPacks and unpacks items to be stocked on shelves following a set of specific instructions or procedures.\nPulls, packages, and stages outbound orders.\nPrepares outbound UPS deliveries as necessary to ensure items are shipped reliably.\nMoves completed orders to appropriate shipment locations.\nOperates forklift to load/unload trucks and lift/place merchandise in their appropriate locations on shelves.\nEnsures that the warehouse is kept orderly, organized, and clean during production and at the end of the shift.\nOccasionally moves company vehicles and motorized equipment.\nCommunicates issues to supervisor for resolution.\nOther duties as assigned.\nMinimum Requirements\nHigh school degree or equivalent required.\nMinimum of 1-3 years experience in a warehouse or distribution center.\nSkills\nPrograms used:\nFACTS\nOutlook\nMicrosoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)\nAbilities\nAbility to work independently, prioritize work and perform multiple tasks.\nAnalytical ability including basic math skills.\nAbility to navigate websites and able to see, review, and interpret computer images and written documents.\nAbility to operate power tools correctly and in a safe manner.\nMust have excellent time management, negotiation, critical thinking, decision-making, organizational skills, and attention to detail.\nExcellent communication skills including speaking, reading, and writing in the English language with the ability to converse verbally with others on the phone and/or in person.\nMust have outstanding customer service skills with the ability to interpret customer needs and demonstrate a customer service mindset when dealing with internal and external customers.\nPhysical requirements include:\nLifting up to 50 pounds while demonstrating safety techniques\nMoving about the warehouse and loading dock area majority of the day\nExiting and entering vehicles several times per day\nMust be able to climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, kneel, and work in small spaces and various climates.\nEquipment used includes:\nDesktop computer and mouse/tablet.\nTelephone, cellphone, fax machine, GPS.\nForklift and motorized pallet jack.\nScanning equipment, such as RF scanners\nMotor vehicles, such as vans and trucks\nColony Hardware Corporation is an equal opportunity employer.
