SUN is a partnership between Multnomah County, the School District, and El Programa Hispano Católico. EDC will develop school-based programs that address academics, enrichment, recreation, and social service needs in collaboration with the school principal, staff, family leadership team, and community.\nEssential Duties:\nLead Extended Day programming and support with administrative operations such as registration cycles, drafting documents, creating attendance tracking sheets, developing flyers, and assisting with other clerical tasks as assigned.\nSupport in recruiting students for SUN Extended Day programming and recruiting families for Adult Education activities.\nSupport school events and lead SUN events, such as Back to School Night, SUN Showcase evenings, Parent-Teacher Conferences, and Family Leadership meetings to connect families with EPHC and SUN Services.\nOrganize the intake protocol for participants and keep the tracking system current using the County-wide data entry system (Group Trail).\nCreate and develop culturally specific after-school activities to increase student engagement and attendance.\nMotivate and support youth in setting and obtaining academic, behavioral, and/or attendance goals while monitoring achievement.\nSupport grant narrative reports as requested.\nTrack expenses and submit monthly finance reports.\nAttend school and EPHC meetings as requested.\nOther duties as assigned by Supervisor.\nQualifications & Requirements:\nMust be bilingual (Spanish/English).\nAbility to communicate concisely and effectively in Spanish and English, both verbally and in writing.\nHigh School Diploma or GED required with at least 1 year experience in the related field.\nEducation or curriculum development experience preferred.\nExperience working with children, youth, and/or families.\nExperience and knowledge of working with and organizing in Latine/Communities of Color.\nDemonstrate judgment and discretion in dealing with confidential matters.\nProficient in all Microsoft Office products and working knowledge of Zoom, Google Applications, Teams, etc.\nMust be able to organize/prioritize work, be proactive, take initiative, follow through, and have a high attention to detail.\nStrong analytical and strategic problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work independently and in a team setting; adapt well to dynamic work environment.\nOther Requirements:\nMust be available to work after school hours September-May, 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm and occasional evenings.\nMust be available to work summer morning hours June - August, 8:00 am-1:00 pm.\nOccasional travel for training, community partner meetings, and funder meetings.\nAbility to lift 40 pounds.\nMust have driver's license, access to vehicle, and automobile insurance at levels required by the organization. (100/300/100).\nSatisfactory results from civil, criminal, and motor vehicle background checks required.\nCOMPENSATION: $22/hr Note: This is a grant-funded position\nLocation & Typical Working Conditions: This position is at Hall Elementary School.
