Career Counselor (Tech/IT industry)

OPIT - Open Institute of Technology is an EU-accredited Higher Education Institution that wants to revolutionize the university-level teaching of computer science by providing students with up-to-date, competence-based, and entirely online degrees in this field.OPIT offers BSc and MSc degrees in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Cybersecurity, and Digital Business, all taught in English.As an independent contractor Career Counselor in OPIT, you'll guide and empower students by offering tailored career counseling, aiding them in resume crafting, interview readiness, and strategic career mapping.Your responsibility will be to create a seamless bridge between academia and the professional world.Key Responsibilities:Conduct on-demand counseling sessions to assist students with practical career goals, including resume/LinkedIn optimization, interview preparation, and job search strategies.Guide students through the process of identifying and applying for internships, apprenticeships, and tech-industry opportunities.Help students identify, articulate, and develop the key soft skills (communication, teamwork, problem-solving) required to succeed in the tech workplace.Ideal Candidate:Demonstrated experience as a Career Coach, Counselor, or Recruiter, with a strong preference for backgrounds within the Tech/IT industry.A hands-on, empathetic approach focused on delivering practical value to students (from CV optimization to interview simulation).Ability to work autonomously under an on-call contract, managing flexible hours while ensuring absolute reliability, punctuality, and responsiveness.Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to quickly build trust with students from diverse backgrounds.Full professional proficiency in English (C1+) is mandatory.Highly organized in managing appointments, follow-ups, and providing structured feedback.What's in it for You:Contribute directly to transforming our international students' lives by helping them launch their careers.Perfect fit for independent professionals looking to enrich their portfolio with a flexible, remote, on-call collaboration.Application Process:We will review your application, and if you meet our criteria, you will be contacted for an initial interview.
