This individual oversees the administration of programs and services, manages staff and volunteers, drives fundraising and community partnerships, and ensures long-term financial sustainability. The Executive Director works closely with the Board of Trustees to fulfill the organization’s mission and enhance its impact in the community.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Organizational ManagementProvide strategic direction and day-to-day leadership to staff and volunteersFoster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvementSupervise direct reports and support a positive, mission-driven work environmentProgram OversightEnsure effective execution and quality of all educational programs and servicesOversee the ASPIRE program, including student intake, curriculum support, and reportingEnsure data collection and evaluation processes align with organizational goalsFundraising & DevelopmentLead all fundraising initiatives, including special events, individual giving, and major donor cultivationIdentify, write, and manage grant opportunities with support from the BoardExpand and steward relationships with donors, funders, and partnersCommunity Engagement & External RelationsServe as the primary ambassador for the organization in the communityBuild and maintain strong partnerships with social service agencies, community groups, schools, and businessesPromote Project: LEARN’s mission through public relations, marketing, and outreachFinancial ManagementCollaborate with the Board Treasurer and/or Executive Committee to develop and manage the annual budgetEnsure sound fiscal practices, including accurate financial reporting, compliance, and oversight of bookkeepingMonitor financial performance and advise the Board on key financial issuesGovernance & Board RelationsWork in partnership with the Board of Trustees to implement strategic goals and policiesParticipate in Board meetings and standing committees as neededProvide regular updates on organizational performance, risks, and opportunitiesOther DutiesPerform other responsibilities as assigned by the Board of TrusteesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in education, nonprofit management, business, or a related field preferredMinimum of five (5) years of leadership experience in nonprofit management, adult education, or a mission-driven organizationMinimum of five (5) years of direct people leadership experienceProven ability to lead teams, manage change, and drive strategic initiativesStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to inspire and engage diverse audiencesDemonstrated success in fundraising, grant writing, and donor developmentKnowledge of adult learning principles and experience working with individuals from diverse backgroundsHigh emotional intelligence, strong organizational skills, and a results-oriented mindsetSalary Starting salary is $50,000.
