The Intern will be exposed to the design, development and manufacturing processes to facilitate an effective internship.\nResponsibilities Under the supervision of Mechanical Engineers, create drawings and design simple parts, assemblies, tools and fixtures using Pro/Engineer (CREO).\nProcess Engineering Change Notices and related drawings.\nAssist Mechanical Engineers in building prototypes.\nGet trained to use LightPath’s PLM and MRP systems, to enter new part information, bill of materials and general upkeep.\nProvide support for Mechanical Engineers on daily tasks.\nOther tasks as assigned.\nMinimum previous experience / qualification Active Senior student or recent graduate pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering at an accredited institution.\nAvailable to work at least 15hrs per week, with at least 3-to-5-hour blocks.\nAble to complete minor physical tasks and lift objects less than 20lbs.\nKnowledge, Abilities & Skills required Fast learner, driven problem solver desired.
