{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"c46ee5489a93aefed2e780c4","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/c46ee5489a93aefed2e780c4","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/c46ee5489a93aefed2e780c4","title":"Assistant Controller","description":"Job Title: Assistant Controller\nJob Location: Albuquerque, NM\nJob Type: Direct Hire /Full Time\nPlease apply with your updated resume and Email Address and Contact Details\nNote:\nRelocation: Yes, for the right candidates only from Denver, Houston, Dallas.\nYardi experience preferred, ideally with commercial real estate experience.\nJOB DESCRIPTION:\nPOSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Controller, the Assistant Controller is responsible for overseeing daily Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable operations of the Accounting team and supporting ancillary Accounting and Finance functions.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nControllership Level Duties\nSupervise the functions and staff of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable\nOversee property tax payment and tax protest process with county assessor\nPrepare monthly bank account reconciliations\nReview financial statements in preparation for monthly close meetings\nPrepare and analyze financial statements for properties, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements\nAs a back up to Controller, coordinate month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations\nCoordinate with Controller and FP&A for annual budget process\nAccounts Receivable and Accounts Payable\nReview and approve invoices, initiate payments, and manage tenant billings in accordance with lease agreements\nMonitor tenant accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue payments in coordination with Property Management policies\nResponsible for posting and verifying information related to monthly mortgage payments, updating loan amortization schedules and escrow balances, posting journal entries and recording in checkbook\nCompletes monthly recurring journal entries\nCalculates and records escrow interest and monthly accruals for insurance and taxes\nAssist AR Specialist with preparation of tenant statements for estimated Common Area Maintenance charges and Taxes\nTreasury Services\nManage preparation of bimonthly cash report\nDirect funding to accounts with a shortfalls and to appropriate accounts that maximize earnings credits\nManage opening and closures of accounts as necessary, managing KYC process, and communication with counterparts at banks.\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (INCLUDES EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE): The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
