{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"c448f40c2445ea4c47ab739e","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/c448f40c2445ea4c47ab739e","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/c448f40c2445ea4c47ab739e","title":"Python Engineer - Ai Applications","description":"Senior Software Engineer — AI-First ApplicationsWe’re working with a fast-moving financial technology company that is building software to transform how complex financial operations are run.The engineering team is developing a range of AI-first applications used across the business.We’re looking for a high-agency, AI-first Software Engineer who is comfortable taking ambiguous problems, rapidly building solutions, and owning applications all the way from prototype to production.What You'll DoTake prototypes and turn them into reliable production applications on AWS, using the tools and technologies you think are best suited to the problem.Translate open-ended business goals into working software without waiting for detailed specifications.Build and maintain a variety of internal business applications, including AI-native products and workflows.Own the full production lifecycle, including infrastructure, deployment, CI/CD, monitoring, security, secrets management and alerting.Ship improvements frequently, with an expectation of deploying updates on a daily basis.Work closely with a distributed, remote team to rapidly iterate on products.Take genuine end-to-end ownership: identify problems, make technical decisions, ship solutions and ensure they continue to work reliably in production.What We're Looking ForIdeally, you'll have:Approximately 5–8 years of backend (python) engineering experience, working across both application and infrastructure code.Strong production experience deploying and operating services on AWS or comparable cloud platforms.Hands-on experience with containers, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, secrets management and observability.Deep familiarity with at least one backend programming language.Significant experience using AI coding tools as part of your development workflow.Experience designing and building applications that incorporate LLMs, including an understanding of their common failure modes, limitations and practical workarounds.A track record of taking applications from prototype through to production and ongoing maintenance.Strong written communication skills.Demonstrated effectiveness working independently within a remote environment.You'll Probably Thrive Here If...You like operating with autonomy rather than detailed specifications.
