Contract Specialist
SpaceNav is looking for a motivated Contract Specialist to join our dynamics business operations team. In this role, you will take the lead in managing the full lifecycle of contract – building strong partnerships, ensuring smooth execution, and driving the success of both new and existing agreements.As the Contract Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and reviewing contract agreements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, negotiating contract terms, and managing supplier relationships. This position ensures that all agreements are compliant with federal regulations, including FAR, DFARS, and NASA FAR Supplement (NSF), and well as internal organizational policies. The Contract Specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, program management, and engineering, to draft, review, and negotiate contract terms that mitigate risk, optimize performance, and promote mutually beneficial relationships. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional capable of analyzing complex contract requirements, identifying potential compliance or operational risks, and providing strategic recommendations to support the organization’s objectives.Responsibilities:Oversee and manage contract negotiations with customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and the federal government.Partner with stakeholders to review contract terms, evaluate risks, and negotiate agreements that align with business goals.Guide senior management in developing subcontracting strategies, managing risks, and driving regulatory compliance.Ensure seamless compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), supporting government contracting requirements.Lead the review and analysis of RFPs, identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.Review and negotiate Team Agreements, NDAs, License Agreements, and OCI Mitigation Plans to ensure alignment with company interests.Qualifications:Advanced degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.Knowledge of intellectual property rights and licensing agreements related to space technology.Expertise in government and commercial contracting regulations and compliance (e.g., FAR/DFAR).Proven experience in a comparable role, ideally within the aerospace or technology sectors.Candidate must have in depth knowledge of all contract types (e.g., T&M, FFP, and Cost Plus).US Citizenship required.The salary range for the role is $85,000 - $115,000 per year.
