Restaurant Team Leader: How you bring valueAt DKT, our Team Leaders deliver the DKT experience to both our Family Members and customers. They foster a High Performing Team environment by coaching during shifts, creating a safe space for communication, and engaging and understanding Family Members' specific work needs. Team Leaders ensure that DKT operating procedures are being followed to drive operational excellence. Team Leaders report to the Operating Partner. Team Leaders support Operating Partners and Managers in managing the restaurant with a variety of tasks such as food safety and sanitation, consistency of standards, and training and supervision of Team Members.REQUIREMENTS: Typical minimum requirements to perform the jobAGE:Must be at least 18 years of ageEducationHigh school diploma/GED or equivalent work experienceExperience and Demonstrated BehaviorsSix (6) months' experience as a Team MemberAttainment of Team Member skills certificationDemonstrated ability to coach, motivate, and inspire Team MembersDemonstrated ability to communicate and maintain an effective working relationship with management and co-workersDemonstrated ability to work in a team environmentKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong general knowledge of the organization and its functionsStrong general knowledge of working practices, procedures, and techniquesProfessional CertificationsFood Safety Certification (may vary based on city, county, and state requirements)Food Handler's CertificationWorking Conditions/Travel RequirementsMust be able to report to work in a timely manner as required by operational/business needsMust be able to work a full-time schedule and be able to work all shifts based on the operational needs of the restaurantMust be able to travel occasionallyMust be able to work overtime if required based on the operational needs of the restaurantMust possess a valid driver's license, submit to releasing a Motor Vehicle Record that adheres to the Whataburger standards, and maintain current automobile liability at minimum levels in their state of residencePhysical RequirementsMust be able to lift up to 50 lbsMust be able to stand during the entire shift.
