As the Construction Inspector, you will work closely with the Resident Engineer to ensure conformance with standards, safety, and contract requirements. This role oversees the contractor’s daily activities and the work of ‘junior’ inspectors. Join us on this exciting journey as we continue\nto build a company based on Integrity, Excellence, and Ingenuity!\n\nEssential Duties/Functions and Responsibilities\nCoordinates activities and schedules with utility companies, contractors, property owners, and other agencies.\nExamines quality of finished installations for conformity to industry standards.\nHandles complaints either personally or by referring to the Resident Engineer.\nMaintains daily reports of construction activities and performs filing duties.\nMeasures distances to verify the accuracy of dimensions of installation.\nObserves work in progress to ensure that procedures and materials conform to plans, specifications, and contract documents.\nPerforms work following safety policies and procedures.\nPrepares sketches of construction installations that deviate from plans and incorporates changes into as-built drawings.\nRecords quantities of material received.\nResponsibilities may include an entire project or may focus on one specific project area.\nReviews field staking and makes revisions within the scope of authority.\nTakes progress photos of the construction activities.\nVerifies levels, alignment, and elevation of installation using the surveyor's level.\nWorks under the general guidance and direction of a Senior Construction Inspector or a Resident Engineer.\n\nTo Be Successful\nYou will bring your A-game every day and come ready to provide leadership and collaboration and create a dynamic environment for your team!
