This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Space Mission Systems Software Engineering organization.\n\nThe ideal candidate will lead development of the pipeline infrastructure that aids multiple software engineering teams in the execution of full life‑cycle software development. The candidate will lead DevSecOps activities for satellite system software teams developing embedded/real‑time satellite flight software, satellite simulation software, satellite databases, cybersecurity software, satellite ground command/control/networking software. The candidate will deploy multiple environments (including dev, test and prod) that meet the requirements of the program and will leverage their knowledge of DevSecOps to implement and improve a robust continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, integrate automated testing, integrate automated metrics generation, and integrate vulnerability & quality scanning capabilities. A continuous improvement mindset is required at all times and the candidate will be encouraged to build automated processes wherever possible. The candidate should possess excellent communications skills and work well in a team environment to support the needs of the program.\n\nPosition Responsibilities\n\nLeads development, documentation and maintenance of standardized, efficient, and innovative DevSecOps processes, tools, methodologies, and performance metrics to streamline the software engineering lifecycle and enable continuous integration, delivery, and deployment of mission critical software\n\nLeads automation, development, monitoring, improvement, and troubleshooting across software development, tooling, testing, integration, deployment, configuration processes, and security controls\n\nCollaborates with cross functional teams to build and maintain robust, scalable, and secure software development pipelines\n\nLeads implementation of current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and regulations in the software engineering DevSecOps environment\n\nPerforms installation and configuration of an integrated software engineering environment based upon the DevSecOps framework\n\nDesigns and develops automation processes and aids in software build and releases activities\n\nPerforms technical support for the program and assists in satisfaction of Application Security, IT, and customer security directives and requirements.\n\nManages software dependencies including evaluation, acquisition & licensing, integration, and maintenance for software used by developers to execute the program.\n\nAssists software teams and IT with server upgrades/patches, database support, and setup of virtual environments\n\nSupports operating system, infrastructure, and platform hardening to ensure systems are secure against cybersecurity threats\n\nAdvises software engineering management and program leadership on software process adherence and implementation strategies to ensure engineering excellence and program success\n\nLeads DevSecOps training to educate software teammates about usage and implementation of DevSecOps tooling and principles.\n\nBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience)\n\nBachelor’s Degree\n\nActive Secret Clearance\n\n5+ years of experience in the Software Development lifecycle (including Requirements Analysis, Design, Code, Integration & Test)\n\n5+ years of experience leading software teams and/or projects\n\n5+ years of experience with Development Operations (DevOps) and/or Development Security Operations (DevSecOps)\n\n5+ years of experience with test automation\n\nExperience working in Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI/CD) using appropriate code versioning, build and test automation tools\n\nPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)\n\nLevel 4: 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience\n\nExperience in the satellite software domain\n\nProficient with the GitLab ecosystem\n\nExperience with Agile software development\n\nExperience with software containerization and container orchestration\n\nExperience in build automation\n\nExperience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) security controls\n\nMaintains a Security+ or equivalent certification\n\nProficient with modern software development methodologies\n\nProficient with a variety of software development languages, tools and techniques\n\nExperience with configuration management and deployment\n\nExperience leading projects and/or individuals in software development lifecycle tasks\n\nTravel\nNo travel is anticipated for this position.\n\nSecurity Clearance\nThis position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).
