This role focuses on process optimization, tooling and equipment support, cost reduction, quality improvement, and collaboration across engineering, production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure safe, efficient, and repeatable operations.\nEssential Functions:\nSupport and improve forging and secondary manufacturing processes to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.\nDevelop, document, and maintain standard work, process flows, work instructions, and routings.\nProvide day-to-day manufacturing support to production, troubleshooting process, tooling, and equipment issues.\nParticipate in new product introductions, including process development, capacity planning, and launch support.\nCollaborate with tooling, maintenance, and engineering teams on die design, process improvements, and equipment upgrades.\nAnalyze production data to identify opportunities for efficiency, scrap reduction, and cost savings.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.\nEnsure processes comply with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.\nAssist with capital projects, equipment justification, installation, and validation.\nTrain and support operators and supervisors on new or revised processes.\nEducation and Training:\nBachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience in a manufacturing or forging environment will be considered.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nExperience in a manufacturing environment; forging or metal forming experience preferred.\nStrong understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment.\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.\nWorking knowledge of continuous improvement tools and methodologies.\nStrong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.\nAbility to work cross-functionally and support shop floor operations.\nPhysical Demands:\nAbility to spend time on the production floor, including standing, walking, bending, and occasional lifting. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) in a manufacturing environment.\nEnvironmental Conditions:\nWork is performed in both office and manufacturing environments.
