Caregiver - Part-Time 1st Shift

CNA PROGRAM Cedarbrook recognizes the benefits of investing in staff development and advancement. In keeping with these objectives, Cedarbrook has partnered with an established C.N.A. training center. To be eligible for the CNA program you must be employed with Cedarbrook for at least 90 days and in good standing. Cedarbrook covers all costs related to the program and pays employees at their established hourly rate for time spent in the course. Staff who successfully complete their C.N.A. certification will be eligible for any hourly pay differentials being offered to C.N.A.'s at the community. If selected for this postings position, please speak with your immediate supervisor for further information on the program. Caregiver Assist and provide direction to residents with personal care needs which enables the resident to maintain good personal hygiene, to carry out activities of daily living, to maintain good health and to participate in the activities of the community. Essential Position Functions The following duties are normal for this position. This list is not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. Assists residents in their personal care which includes direction and assistance in grooming, hygiene, dressing, nutrition, etcAssists residents to and from dining room as needed and assists with mealsEncourages and assists residents to participate in activitiesListens to and understands the problems of residents and reports observations immediately to Director, if appropriateParticipates in all in-service programs to expand and develop abilitiesSets a good example for residents and other staff members by appearance, conduct and interest in jobMaintains compliance to all personnel policies, established community policies and procedures, and Federal and State regulations and standardsUnderstands and implements the Fire Safety and Disaster Preparedness Plan and evacuation procedures of the community during drills and actual emergenciesDependable and able to meet schedule requirements (attendance and punctuality) with no restrictionsOther duties as assigned by Supervisor Education/Experience:High school diploma or equivalent preferredHealth care or nurse's aide training with a 100 hour nurse's aide training preferredOne year nurse's aide experience preferred CSL123
