Due to security requirements, work is required to be on-site in a secure facility.\n\nThe MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge SE&I for the Space Force’s Space System Command. We support the Space Force’s acquisition of state-of-the-art MILSATCOM systems, providing secure global, survivable, and protected communications for our nation’s warfighters. We seek technical individuals who will thrive in a highly collaborative work environment of small teams, using the most modern tools and methodologies to tackle the challenges of integrating complex space and ground communications systems.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nDevelop and implement integration strategies and processes to successfully integrate satellite communication systems, segments (Ground, Space, Crypto, Terminals), subsystems, elements, and components; manage the technical baselines among different stakeholders\nPerform analysis of the systems requirements that define the technical baseline and verification of the technical baseline\nApply Digital Engineering methods and modeling strategies (i.e. Digital twins) to support integration and test activities\nWork with Government and contractor personnel to close gaps with customer requirements across the program; support major requirements reviews, design reviews, and other associated meetings\nLead and support Government/Contractor Working Group meetings—by developing briefings, leading discussion, and writing minutes—to address/resolve risks, issues, and action items\nReview proposed changes to the technical baseline for impacts to enterprise capabilities and to cross-stakeholder integration concerns\nDefine and deliver alternative solutions to address different integration challenges; manage schedule impact and overall delivery of products\nFacilitate review of contractor-developed program documents by performing technical assessments and providing comments, compiling other review team comments, and working with contractors to adjudicate the comments.\nServe as a subject matter expert to assess technical issues and to prepare briefings to U.S. Space Force program office personnel and other stakeholders; provide courses of actions to support Government decisions\nSupport management of risks, issues, interdependencies, identifying schedule disconnects and conflicts, developing action plans for resolution, and assisting the Government in executing selected solutions\n\nWork Environment:\nLocation: On-site\nTravel Requirements: Minimal\nWorking Hours: Standard\n\nQualifications:\nRequired:\nActive Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or related technical field\n8+ years’ engineering work experience\n5+ years’ work experience in Systems Engineering, including such sub-disciplines as requirements management and technical baseline development, test planning, integration, and execution; verification; and validation\nExperience developing or managing requirements documents/specifications or Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for complex systems\nStrong interpersonal skills, communication (oral and written), and presentation skills\nProficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)\nWork is on-site in a secure facility due to customer security requirements\n\nDesired Skills and Experience:\nActive Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility\nMaster’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, or computer science, or related technical field\nExperience working with/on MILSATCOM programs; such as AEHF, PTS, EPS, WGS, or FAB-T terminal programs\nExperience working with military personnel and DoD civilians\nExperience with ground and space systems, such as terminals and networks\nKnowledge and experience in Agile Development and collaboration tools (Jira/Confluence)\nProfessional certifications (e.g., PMP, INCOSE CSEP / ESEP / ASEP)\n\nCompensation: The pay range for this position in California is $135,000/year to $169,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors.
