As part of our global team, you’ll be empowered to make a real impact—on your career, your community, and the world around you.\nJob Type: Full-time / On-site\nShift + Hours: 1st Shift (7am-3:30pm)\n\nHow You’ll Make an Impact\nAs a BTS (Blend Test Services) Materials Handler you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, driving specialty chemical solutions forward. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing, and enhance modern life.\n\nThe BTS Materials Handler are primarily responsible for receiving shipments of materials and for packaging and labeling materials for shipment. They manage the inventory system. They deliver materials to customers that may come in from outside sources, are created on the north campus, or are blended by the BTS Blend Group. They are also responsible for the proper disposal of materials.\n\nIn this role, you will:\nManage and maintain the inventory system using bar coding equipment for gasoline, oils, solvents, and intermediates; corrosive and non-corrosive materials.\nConsistently provide superior customer service by working directly with the Request Processing Group and all customers to resolve inventory issues.\nUnload and receive into inventory both hazardous and non-hazardous materials. Pack and label materials in proper containers for domestic and international shipments. Safely unload bulk oils and solvents from tank trucks into storage tanks located on the south property.\nDeliver samples in both building 9 and 15, via one of the seven preset delivery routes, multiple times a day, in compliance with OEPA, ODOT, and/or railroad regulations.\nManage all wastes generated on the south campus in compliance with the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency.\nSupport Blend Services Group and lab technicians by staging pick-listed materials on proper shelves in blending areas; supply them with sample jars, cans, gloves, rags, equipment, and solvents. Manage and distribute inventory of gas cylinders needed on the south property. Operate the glassware wash machine.\nConduct team meetings for, but not limited to, improved teamwork, communication, safety and the sharing of ideas; strive to develop process improvements and cost savings measures.\nConduct necessary inspections required by city, state, and federal regulatory agencies. Participate in safety meetings and ad hoc investigation teams.\nOperate floor cleaning equipment, maintain good housekeeping practices, and clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, instruments, storage areas, walkways, and roadways, utilizing various types of equipment to ensure compliance with safety requirements. Maintain and manage building 52 drum warehouse, solvent room, powder room, basement storage room, and fuel sheds located on the south property.\nSupport VPP and RCMS initiatives.\n\nRequired Qualifications that Enable Your Success\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nMust have valid drivers license.\nWorking knowledge of the metric system.\nGood math skills (addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication).Good communication skills (written, verbal, and listening).\nKeep current on Computer Based Training using the Active Learner System.\nSafely operate the six different types of lifts used by the Stock Services Group.\nReceive hazmat training (Hazmat technician level) to aid in spill clean ups.\nMay be required to serve on the Lubrizol Emergency Response Team.\n\nYour Work Environment\nAt Lubrizol, we’re committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment where you can do your best work—whether in a lab, on the production floor, or in a hybrid office setting.
