Tracey Road Equipment operates seven facilities spanning New York State & one new location in Pennsylvania. Tracey Road Equipment is hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist for the East Syracuse facility. The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices, ensuring that payments are made in a timely manner, and maintaining accurate financial records. The role involves working closely with vendors, internal departments, and the accounting team to manage the company’s outgoing payments and expenses. A successful candidate: Receive, review, and verify invoices and check requests. Sort, code, and match invoices to purchase orders and receipts. Enter and upload invoices into the accounting system. Schedule and prepare disbursements, ensuring payments are made accurately and on time. Resolve payment discrepancies and disputes with vendors and suppliers. Reconcile accounts payable transactions and monitor account balances to ensure compliance. Maintain vendor files and update records with new vendor information as needed. Assist with month-end closing processes and reconciling accounts payable ledgers. Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment. Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Two years of relative accounting experience or associate’s degree preferred.
