Starting Pay $23.40/hr - Plus $2.00/hr for Night Shift\nSUMMARY\nPerforms repetitive production and packing operations to mass process products such as plastic bottles.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nEmployee works from a production schedule located within the work area.\nRandomly checks product produced every hour, to ensure the customer specifications are met.\nMonitors flow of product into processing machinery.\nTends machines, such as palletizers, case packers, injection machines and box machine to maintain product flow.\nWorks at different work stations as production needs require.\nWorks on lines where tasks vary, as product of various shapes and sizes move along lines.\nCheck finished product for possible defects.\nWears all required personal protective equipment.\nAssures and participates in all plant safety/accident prevention policies. This includes maintaining a safe work environment and follows safe work practices.\nMaintains housekeeping of work areas.\nFollow all HACCP, GMP and Product Safety rules and guidelines.\nTrain current and new members of the department to perform job related tasks as needed.\nLearn new on the job skills as training opportunities become available.\nAny other tasks that may be assigned.\nMust attend monthly shift meetings 6am for day shift or 6pm for night shift.\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nNone.\nQualifications\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The employee must be able to stand on a solid surface for a minimum of twelve (12) hours. The employee must be able to ascend and descend stairs and ladders. The employee must be able to frequently lift and /or move up to fifty (50) pounds. The employee must be able to demonstrate repetitive motion with a pallet jack and push/pull up to seven hundred (700) pounds throughout the day (12 hour shift). Specific vision abilities required by this position include close visual inspection of product.
