This role blends engineering, process control, and quality assurance to keep cleanrooms within strict contamination limits while keeping downtime and operating costs low.\nRole and Responsibilities\nHere’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:\nCore Responsibilities\nOperation & Optimization\nMonitor scrubber performance metrics such as flow, pressure, and particle counts.\nLead Kaizen and poka‑yoke activities to mitigate contamination trends.\nDraft, review, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs).\nCompile monthly KPI dashboards and validate SOP consistency.\nMaintenance & Reliability\nAssist with development preventive‑maintenance (PM) schedules for all scrubber components.\nTroubleshoot equipment failures using root‑cause analysis (5‑Why, Pareto, fishbone).\nCoordinate spare‑part logistics and inventory for critical items.\nMaintain detailed PM logs and corrective‑action records.\nQuality Assurance & Compliance\nEnsure scrubber operation meets site regulations and quality expectations.\nKeep audit‑ready records that demonstrate traceability for inspections.\nProduce QA audit findings and corrective‑action plans.\nStakeholder Collaboration\nAct as the technical liaison among fab engineers, maintenance staff, and suppliers.\nLead cross‑functional project teams for equipment upgrades or replacements.\nDocument project charters, meeting minutes, and deliverables.\nBudgeting & Cost Control\nBuild cost models for capital purchases, PM, and upgrade projects.\nTrack spend and forecast future capital needs.\nGenerate budget‑variance reports and ROI analyses.\nKey Competencies & Skills\nTechnical Proficiency\nDeep familiarity with semiconductor fab processes (etch, implant, etc.) and scrubber subsystems.\nUnderstanding of fluid dynamics, particle control, and plasma‑related concepts.\nAbility to analyze equipment reliability data and identify improvement opportunities.\nProblem‑Solving\nUse structured root‑cause tools such as 5‑Why, Pareto charts, and fishbone diagrams.\nApply data‑driven approaches (ANOVA, DOE, Six Sigma) to troubleshoot and refine processes.\nProject Management\nManage PM schedules, budgets, and risk registers.\nUtilize Agile/Lean principles for fab‑equipment projects.\nCommunication\nWrite clear technical documents: specifications, SOPs, reports.\nDeliver concise presentations to management, shift leads, and vendors.\nSafety & Compliance\nAdhere to OSHA, ISO, EPA, and in‑house chemical‑safety regulations.\nMaintain a safety‑first mindset in all activities.\nSkills and Qualifications\nHere's what you'll need:\nEducation\nA Bachelor’s or technical degree (or equivalent) is preferred; Relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.\nExperience\nProven experience in a semiconductor fab or clean‑room environment, with a focus on equipment operation, maintenance, or design.\nPrior exposure to abatement or particle‑control equipment is strongly preferred.\nCertifications\nOSHA 30‑hour Industrial Safety (recommended).\nSix Sigma Green/Black Belt (optional but advantageous).\nTechnical Skills\nCAD proficiency (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).\nData analysis using MATLAB, Python, or equivalent.\nBasic PLC programming (Siemens, Rockwell) and LabVIEW familiarity.\nSoft Skills\nStrong analytical mindset.\nSelf‑motivated initiative.\nCollaborative teamwork and cross‑functional communication.\nThe current base salary range for this role is between $20.50 - $55.00/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience.
