The primary focus is to apply engineering expertise to lead and support projects that enhance personnel safety, total process safety, finished product quality, environmental compliance, and operational efficiency.\n\nSpecific Job Duties\nAnalyze and evaluate existing manufacturing processes to identify improvement opportunities; recommend and implement data-driven solutions that enhance performance, safety, and efficiency.\nSupport daily operations through active involvement in production, maintenance, and contractor supervision as required.\nProvide technical expertise and troubleshooting support to resolve process and maintenance-related challenges.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective integration of new processes, technologies, and equipment.\nEngage with operations, maintenance, and contractor teams to sustain and improve facility reliability, equipment performance, and safety programs.\nLead and participate in technical training initiatives to develop the skills and knowledge of operational team members.\nManage capital projects up to $5 million and serve as an active stakeholder on project teams executing capital investments exceeding $5 million.\nDemonstrate leadership in fostering a strong safety culture and continuous improvement mindset; actively support process safety initiatives, with knowledge of PSM programs considered an asset.\nPartner with external plant teams (CAPEX, Technology, Maintenance, Safety, Environmental, Quality/Food Safety, Performance Excellence, and Performance Management) to drive and execute continuous improvement initiatives.\nLead contractor teams during project execution, ensuring strict adherence to occupational and process safety standards.\nEducation Requirements\nBachelor’s Degree in the field of Engineering (Chemical, Agricultural, & Mechanical Engineering strongly preferred)\nExperience Requirements\n3 or more years of experience in a Process/Production Engineering role in continuous manufacturing environment (food/feed/chemicals mfg strongly preferred)\nRequired Skills.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with cross functional teams.\nWorking knowledge of engineering drawings and documentation, such as P&IDs and control narratives.\nAbility to work effectively on a team as well as independently\nHigh level of motivation and results-oriented way of working.\nMS Office Suite\nPreferred Skills\nExperience working in manufacturing and/or construction industry\nExperience with Capital Project Management\nEngineering Software/tools (CAD, Statistical Analysis, Process Modeling)\nEnvironment\n50% in the field, 50% desk work\nWalk long distances\nStand and sit interchangeably for various periods\nClimb stairs and ladders\nLift 50 lbs\nExcited about this role but don’t think you meet every requirement listed?
