Our ideal candidate will design and deliver developmentally appropriate instruction aligned to students' Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) while fostering inclusive, nurturing learning environments that support academic, social, emotional, and behavioral growth. The qualified candidates should hold or be eligible for a valid Missouri Certificate in Mild/Moderate Cross-Categorical Education or other similar special education area.Key Responsibilities:Provide high-quality, evidence-based instruction to preschool students with disabilities in alignment with IEP goals and Missouri Early Learning Standards (or applicable state standards).Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including progress monitoring and documentation.Collaborate with general education preschool teachers, related service providers (speech, OT, PT, school psychologists), paraprofessionals, and families to support student success.Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, accommodations, and behavior supports to meet diverse student needs.Conduct developmental assessments and contribute to multidisciplinary evaluation teams as appropriate.Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with IDEA, state regulations, and district procedures.Create a classroom environment that is safe, structured, inclusive, and supportive of early childhood learners.Communicate effectively and regularly with families regarding student progress and needs.Supervise and collaborate with paraprofessionals assigned to the classroom.Competitive Salary and Benefits Package:Salary schedule placement acknowledging highest level of education and ALL years of previous teaching experience as allowed by the salary scheduleDistrict paid employee medical, dental, and life insurance (with option to purchase coverage for spouse, children, or family)Employee option to purchase voluntary benefits including vision insurance, short term disability, long term disability and other supplemental insurance policies.10 Days Paid Time Off per year.District matched retirement contribution of 14.5% to Public School Retirement System (PSRS).
