This role is ideal for someone passionate about building robust test automation frameworks and ensuring software quality across web-based payment systems, APIs, and third-party integrations. You will work in a collaborative, Scrum-based environment alongside QA engineers, developers, product owners, and leadership to uphold our high standards of quality and reliability.\nResponsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using JavaScript and Cypress.io for UI and API testing across multiple web-based payment portals.\nImplement automated processes for nightly test runs and monitor their performance.\nCollaborate with engineering teams to embed QA and automation into the development lifecycle.\nDevelop comprehensive test strategies and ensure thorough regression coverage.\nIntegrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Docker and Jenkins.\nParticipate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers.\nAnalyze test results and provide actionable recommendations.\nTroubleshoot and automate challenging test scenarios.\nCommunicate automation needs and challenges effectively across teams.\nReport automation progress during sprint ceremonies.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nBasic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.\n5–6 years of experience in programming and test automation.\nPreferred Skills & Experience Proven experience building test automation frameworks from scratch.\nProficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, and Cypress.io.\nBackend API automation experience (e.g., Python or similar).\nFamiliarity with Git, Bitbucket, Playwright, Docker, Jenkins, SQL, React.js, Node.js.\nExperience with security/penetration, performance, and load testing.\nExposure to Golang, PHP, Python, Java.\nAPI testing using Bruno.\nKnowledge of AWS, Terraform, and CI/CD pipeline development.\nUnderstanding of HIPAA, PCI, and PII compliance standards.\nExperience in e-commerce and POS hardware testing.\nEEO Employer Apex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
