SEWIP is an evolutionary acquisition and incremental development program to upgrade the existing AN/SLQ-32(V) electronic warfare system.\nIncumbent must have experience and ability to read ships' diagrams for power distribution, LP air systems, and valve alignments for both air and water systems.\nIncumbent should have experience and trouble-shooting skills that deal with interface issues for copper, fiber and RF over Fiber connections.\nIncumbent will aid in repairs of the system after startup and provide system familiarization training to sailors on the ship as part of verification testing\nJOB DUTIES:\nRead ships diagrams Combat Systems Operational Sequencing System (CSOSS) for power distribution, LP air systems, and valve alignments for both air and water systems\nTroubleshoot possible interface issues over copper, fiber and RF over Fiber connections\nAid in repairs of the system after startup\nProvide FAM training to sailors on the ship as part of verification testing\nQualifications\nREQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE:\nHS/GED and four (4) years of experience; or Associates and two (2) years. Experience will include any of the following occupations- Electronics/Engineering Technician: former Navy EW CTT/CTM or Aviation Electrician’s Mates (AE), Aviation Electronics Technician.\nKnowledge and understanding of the Shipboard Electronic Warfare systems to include AN/SLQ-32, ES-3601, WBR-2000, MK53 NULKA, SLA-10D, and HGHS\nAbility to climb ship mast and work from heights\nAbility to work with harness on while aloft\nAbility to work within confined spaces\nMedically cleared and ability to go underway for short periods of time\nFormal Navy Schoolhouse training on a Maritime or Airborne Electronic Warfare System\nFlexibility to travel on short notice to provide on-ship support\nMust be a US Citizen\nMust be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.\nDESIRED EXPERIENCE:\nFiber certification\nIT/Windows/Linux experience\nPrevious EW Experience (general)\nPrevious technician experience (i.e., FC/ET/CTT/AT/AE)\n\nSAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.\n\nCovid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters.
