The operator is responsible for the quality of the product they produce.\nQUALIFICATIONS\n\nEnsure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.\nCapable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.\nA minimum 4 years of equivalent machine operation experience, prior experience in a pharmaceutical/nutraceutical environment, familiarity with manufacturing processes and equipment procedures preferred, proven knowledge of high speed, manufacturing equipment, experience with tablet presses, or encapsulation machines preferred.\nHigh School Diploma/Certificate; or two-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nFollow sanitary cGMP regulations before coming in contact with raw materials.\nSet up, operate, and tend machinery and equipment to form tablets of vitamin supplements.\nSet up, start machines, monitor their operations, test, and adjust machine speeds and actions according to product specifications and operating procedures.\nInstall, align, and lock specified punches, dies, segments, scrapers, or other fixtures.\nDisassemble, clean, sanitize, and perform routine maintenance of machines such as lubrication, calibration, adjustments, etc.\nEnsures the quality of the finished product meets all specifications and complies with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), DEA and other regulatory and Safety requirements.\nMeasure finished tablets to verify conformance to weight specifications using scales.\nClean and maintain tableting machines, instruments, and work area.\nCollect samples of finished blend for testing.\nRecord operational and production information on specified cGMP forms.\nTransfer materials, supplies, and products between work areas, using moving equipment and hand tools.\nObserve production and monitoring equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.\nReach target weights set by cGMP's with each batch of tablets.\nPerform maintenance on machines regularly, report any damage to supervisor.\nWork in shifts that are highly paced and meet deadlines.\nInspect machines as well as products to ensure that product has been run correctly.\nFollows established procedures including standard operating procedures (SOP’s), cGMP, food safety regulations and safety procedures.\nMay be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.\nTRAINING:\n\nWorking knowledge of Safety in the Workplace Rules and Regulations, preferred.\nWorking knowledge of cGMP's, preferred.\nMACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, ELECTRONIC DEVICES & SOFTWARE:\n\nknowledge of Lockout/Tag out and MSDS.\nPHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:\n\nAbility to lift up 50 lbs.\nAbility to stand up for 8-10 hours daily.\nFlorida Supplement is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
