They apply knowledge of controls/electrical/electro-mechanical maintenance and repair best practices, as well as Root Cause Corrective Action and Continuous Improvement principles in diagnosing malfunctions, restoring, equipment to operation, and determining equipment modifications/enhancements. They maintain, test, and repair PLCs, electrical/electro-mechanical systems, and components.\n\nDuties and Responsibilities:\n\nReadily understands AIT software and controls architecture in order to operate independently our with remote SME support to resolve issues in a timely manner.\nRespond and follow up to customer inquiries or problems in a timely and effective manner.\nStart up and shuts down equipment in accordance with operation’s requirements, company safety procedures and OSHA requirements for machine activation and shutdown.\nProvide technical support on PLC’s and network interfaces throughout the manufacturing floor.\nPerform work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theory and principles, written specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment.\nTroubleshoot and repairs electrical/electro-mechanical equipment including but not limited to PLCs, numerical controls, power supplies, drives, gages/HMI and test equipment.\nReceive wiring diagrams, drawing, specification, and instructions, both verbally or in writing, concerning emergency and scheduled repair, installation, and inspection work to be performed.\nService electronic equipment by checking, testing, and replacing faulty components, circuit modules, printed circuit boards and similar electronic devices.\nMaintain and install communication cables, power distribution cables and wiring, and performs splicing as required.\nPerform all duties in a safe and collaborative manner and immediately report any potentially dangerous conditions or other safety concerns to the supervisor.\nInterfaces with other departments/personnel to achieve processing/manufacturing requirements.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nEducation and Work Experience:\n\nBachelors or Associates degree in related field preferred.\nThree or more years and/or equivalent experience preferred in PLC and HMI configuration and programming Control circuit analysis, design, troubleshooting and solving software/hardware issues in an industrial high voltage electrical maintenance.\nA thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes.\nProficient computer experience/operation and PLC programming is necessary.\nWorking knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.\nWork Authorization/Security Clearance Requirements:\n\nAbility to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance is preferred, but may not be required.\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nList of needed knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully accomplish the duties and responsibilities of the job.\n\nPromote and comply with good safety practices and habits, including but not limited to, use of all PPE.\nPerforms routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed.\nIn depth knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical systems.\nReads and understands blueprints, schematics, and/or measuring devices.\nBehaves consistently and predictably; is reliable, responsible and dependable in fulfilling obligations and diligently follows through on commitments and consistently meets deadlines.\nAchieves thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task through concern for all the areas involved.\nClear and effective communication skills in both written and spoken forms.\nUnderstands how to use the computers, including such tasks as turning the computer on and off, locating and opening files, navigate to websites, perform searches, and download files.\nKnowledge of computer applications including email, databases, word-processing program and spreadsheets (such as Microsoft Office).\nIdentifies problems and review relevant information to develop options, then implement the solutions.\nWorks effectively with different levels of management, team members and customers.\nWork Conditions:Environment Type:\n\nIndoor office and production environments may or may not be temperature controlled.\nExposure Types:\n\nWhile no adverse environmental conditions expected, it is a production environment with risk from:\nSharp and/or hot objects\nDirt, dust, grease and/or oil\nNoisy environment\nWork Hours:\n\nStandard work schedule, overtime may be necessary for meeting deadlines, required travel, and emergent conditions.\nAble to occasionally work scheduled “off shifts” (i.e., 2nd, 3rd, or split shift), if required.\nTravel Requirements:\n\nRemote - perform job responsibilities from customer work sites and AIT locations.\nThis position may involve travel up to 10% of the time.\nPhysical Demands:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
