Their banking app helps millions of members bank, budget, find work, build credit, and access up to $500 advances without paying a fee.\r\nResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain the backend code to support transactional and account data intelligence.\r\nParticipate in the design and development of APIs that will interface with Data Science Machine Learning Models, as well as internal and external services.\r\nContribute to discussions during the feature design process, ensuring that risk considerations are integrated from the ground up.\r\nDelivers consistent high-quality code by shipping incrementally across multiple PRs.\r\nEliminates potential for customer-impacting errors (outages) in the systems their squad owns by contributing to writing better tests and by performing effective code reviews.\r\nWrite unit and integration tests to promote squad-owned quality.\r\nSpot and eliminate performance concerns in new and existing code.\r\nEffectively delivers and addresses code review feedback.\r\nFollow triage runbook procedures, and participate in on-call rotation every other week to maintain proper system uptime based on triggered monitors and alerts set up in the team.\r\nAbility to raise issues found during triage, and work with team members to follow through on needed actions to fix root cause.\r\nDemonstrates empathy in communication and adjusts the granularity of information to fit the audience.\r\nClearly understands the trade-offs in solutions and roadmap prioritization.
