In the office, the warehouse, or on the road, it is this commitment to our innovative spirit that unites us in common mission to push boundaries in the logistics industry.\n\nJob Overview:\n\nThe Dispatch Manager is responsible for overseeing daily transportation operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, driver performance, fleet utilization, and operational efficiency across assigned accounts. This role serves as the primary liaison between customers, drivers, dispatchers, and internal departments, providing proactive communication on pickups, deliveries, project status, and service performance.\n\nDuties and responsibilities:\n\nProviding updates to customers on projects/goals/operational check in on pickups/deliveries\nParticipate in customer weekly/daily calls regarding performance and planning\nReview potential changes and/or improvements with customer, validate internally with operations management team, and roll out changes/improvements to the many drivers and dispatchers involved\nSupport driver hiring and start up initiatives by interviewing and processing drivers\nEvaluate driver pools and driver capabilities for busy season/special projects\nManage equipment utilization of tractors and trailers assigned to fleet\nComplete daily payroll responsibilities through UKG\nMatch driver candidates for capabilities that match service needs\nWork through application questions and concerns\nCoordinate Recruiting and Safety departments processing of applications\nReview Problems from internal & external customers and resolve\nWork with tools and infrastructure items like\nSkyBitz, Platform Science, LYTX Drivecam, As400 reporting\nCoach drivers on performance and safety related items\nReview terminal performance and report out in weekly internal KPI meetings\nCustomer portals and online platforms i.e. Smartsheet\nWork with administrative teams to complete orders/close out open billing items\nManage reporting tools to create processes for additional revenue streams. i.e. detention and bobtail billing\nPerform other duties as assigned\n\nQualifications:\n\n5+ years of relevant dispatch/operations management experience\nHigh school diploma or equivalent education\nStrong understanding of FMCSA & DOT guidelines\nAdvanced knowledge of AS-400 and intermediate computer skills\nProficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.\nAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlines.\nAbility to communicate both orally and in writing with a wide range of people.\n\nEEO Statement:\n\nNRS is an equal opportunity employer.
