You will collaborate with project teams to develop specifications, client‑specific masters, and support project teams with submittal review. Your expertise in building materials, codes, and industry standards will shape the quality and consistency of projects firmwide.\r\nYour Role Prepare comprehensive project manuals based on information provided by the Management Teams.\r\nSuggest alternate solutions when necessary.\r\nFor complex projects, schedule periodic reviews during the development of documents.\r\nReview comments with the Management Team and respond to any questions or concerns.\r\nTake a mentorship approach when dealing with junior staff members.\r\nStay knowledgeable about products and industry standards and trends.\r\nBe a general resource to the company in answering technical questions or providing opinions.\r\nQualifications Preferred equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design.\r\nPreferred minimum of 15 years of experience within the field of Architecture or Interior Design with at least 5 years of writing specifications.\r\nStrong computer, written and verbal communication skills are essential.\r\nExtensive experience in construction and construction materials.\r\nExperience in the use of MasterSpec, Bluebeam, Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred.\r\nThe ability to speak (public speaking) in front of small to large groups of people is preferred.\r\nThis is a full‑time, long‑term position.\r\nEstablished in 1972, Ware Malcomb is a dynamic, forward‑thinking commercial real estate design firm providing professional architecture, interior design, civil engineering, branding, building measurement, structural engineering and MEP engineering services to clients throughout the world.
