Typical compensation ranges for this position are between $60,000 - $85,000.\r\nPosition Overview: The Content Developer, Spanish will work with the Editorial team to project manage the development phase of new product development, both Core and Supplemental, as needed.\r\nDuties and Responsibilities\r\nMust be fluent in Spanish, both written and verbal.\r\nCoordinate with vendors, colleagues, and freelance writers developing content, ensuring that content guidelines are observed\r\nReview, edit, and approve manuscript and production stages, working directly with copy editors, graphic designers, and photo researchers\r\nIncorporate feedback (based on defined review stages) from Professional Development, Sales and Marketing, Editorial management, and outside reviewers and consultants\r\nDevelop and maintain writing and editing guidelines\r\nRequest and review vendor and writer samples and provide vendor feedback as necessary to ensure quality control\r\nAttend regularly scheduled status meetings with Executive Content Developer or Senior Content Developer to report on workflow and content issues\r\nCreate or update Product Library documentation\r\nCommunicate with Sales and Marketing to support the development of sales support tools\r\nWork with the Correlations Manager, as needed, to create and/or review state or competition correlations to ensure that they accurately address standards and topics.\r\nSupport Sales and Marketing by reviewing pullouts, space ads, pre-pub flyers, and other sales support tools for accuracy and completeness\r\nRead professional journals to increase market and pedagogical knowledge\r\nAttend department and weekly product status meetings\r\nComplete time tracking documentation on a weekly basis\r\nJob Requirements / Skills and Experience:\r\n4+ years of experience developing literacy materials for an educational publisher\r\nB.A. in English, education, or a related field (M.A. a plus)\r\nSuperior Spanish writing & editing skills. Strong project management skills.
