Accountant","description":"CTG is seeking to fill a Mid-level Accountant position for our client.\n\n*Location:* Freeport, TX\n*Duration:* 12 months\n*Pay Rate:* $35.00/hour\n\nDuties:\n\n* Assist with the monthly closing process in SAP.\n* Prepare and post journal entries.\n* Perform General Ledger (G/L) account analysis and reconciliation.\n* Reconcile bank accounts and investigate discrepancies.\n* Reconcile intercompany accounts.\n* Support capital expense and fixed asset management activities.\n* Assist with inventory valuation.\n* Participate in various accounting and financial projects.\n* Analyze financial information and ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records.\n* Collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting issues and support month-end reporting activities.\n\nSkills:\n\n* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.\n* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.\n* Experience working with SAP.\n* Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\n* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.\n* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.\n* Strong written and verbal communication skills.\n* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.\n\nExperience:\n\n* 2+ years of recent, relevant accounting experience.\n* Experience with month-end close activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and General Ledger analysis.\n* Experience with bank and intercompany reconciliations preferred.\n* Experience with capital expenses, asset management, or inventory valuation is a plus.\n* Hands-on experience using SAP and Excel.\n\nEducation:\n\n* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related major from a four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\n\nWork Schedule:\n\n*1st Week:*\n\n* Monday: 7:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.\n* Tuesday: 7:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.\n* Wednesday: 7:00 a.m. –
