Area Director of Finance

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Area Director of Finance to oversee financial operations across multiple locations within a defined region. This role is responsible for financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, compliance, and leadership of regional finance teams. The ideal candidate combines strong financial acumen with operational insight and the ability to partner with senior leadership to drive profitable growth. Key Responsibilities Oversee financial performance across multiple business units or locations within the assigned area Lead regional budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning Analyze financial results and provide clear, actionable insights to senior leadership Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting Partner with operational leaders to improve margins, control costs, and drive efficiency Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements Manage audits, tax filings, and external financial relationships as required Develop, mentor, and manage regional finance teams Support strategic initiatives, acquisitions, and expansion projects within the area Identify financial risks and opportunities and recommend mitigation strategies Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred) 8+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience 3+ years in a senior or regional finance leadership role Experience overseeing multiple locations, business units, or regions Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Proven ability to partner with non-finance stakeholders Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP and financial systems Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills Preferred Experience Industry experience in hospitality, retail, manufacturing, healthcare, or multi-site operations Experience working in fast-paced or growth-oriented environments Change management and process improvement experience What We Offer Competitive salary and performance-based incentives Comprehensive benefits package Opportunities for career growth and leadership development Collaborative and results-driven work environment Job Type: Part-time Expected hours: 35 per week Work Location: Remote
