Visit peraton.com to learn how we're keeping people around the world safe and secure.\nResponsibilities\n\nPeraton is looking for a Cloud Network Engineer (CNE) to support DISA's stand up of the Joint Operational Edge (JOE) and other cloud capabilities. The CNE is responsible for implementing and operating the J6 cloud environment. Also responsible for supporting the day to day operations of the environment and providing engineering activities for this environment. The CNE should have experience being part of a team and taking guidance from more senior team members when executing tasks.\n\nAdditional responsibilities include:\n\nFamiliar with the deployment and administration of IT Networking components, such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, etc as virtualized devices.\nFamiliar with standard routing protocols and switching architecture to implement on-premise Cloud Service Provider (CSP) service infrastructure equipment.\nFamiliar with BGP implementations on Customer Edge (CE) routers in an HA pair and instantiating new circuit connectivity with a DoD Service Provider.\nFamiliar with obtaining packet captures and decoding packet captures for resolving network-based issues such as latency, jitter, packet loss, etc.\nAutomation experience using RedHat Ansible and/or HashiCorp Terraform.\nMust have extensive experience with coding languages, such as Perl, Python, Powershell, CSP CLI, cloud foundations, etc.\nExperience with deploying virtualized compute resources within a CSP Virtual Data Center Security Stack via CSP console.\nEnsure proper configuration management of network configuration items.\nProvide traffic engineering analysis and studies as directed by the program office; this will include such tasks as SD-WAN technologies.\nExperience in deploying cluster storage with and on-premise Cloud infrastructure (most commonly block storage).\nExtensive experience with deploying Kubernetes (e.g. EKS) container solutions within a CSP service hosting enclave.\nDevelop and manage the execution of detailed transition plans for projects.\nDevelop and maintain Concept of Operations documentation.\nParticipate in organization meetings, town halls, and similar events to integrate into the organization structure.\nSome familiarity with the DoD Thunderdome project, as this infrastructure will interact and run on top of on-premise Cloud equipment.\nQualifications\n\nRequired Qualifications:\n\n5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD\nActive DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain DoD Interim Secret Clearance\nUS Citizenship Required\nDoD 8570 Certs (Security +)\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nExcellent writing and grammatical skills.\nExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail\nBenefits:\n\nAt Peraton, our benefits are designed to help keep you at your best beyond the work you do with us daily.
